Body-oriented psychotherapy
The founder of this psychotherapeutic method was Wilhelm Reich. The fundamental principles of this method are radically different than those of other psychotherapeutic methods. Body-oriented psychotherapy focuses on the client's body, activating certain bodily structures or segments to discover psychological experiences or traumas that have left "tracks" on the physical body and, if not treated, can remain there throughout the patient's lifetime, sometimes even causing physical disorders.
